Work sessions outcomes and agreements
Thursday 8th
- 09:45: Works related to the revision of the project:
- Selection of students: The host partner explains how their students have been chosen. They inform about the selection commission, information provided to the students and their families, criteria for selection, presentation periods and a template for the evaluation rubric.
- Work commissions: Agreements to make commissions for the general coordination, selection of participants, budget follow up, self assessment and dissemination of the project.
- Setting Tasks: Between meetings the partners will translate into English the texts they are to perform; they prepare their part of the show and rehearsal it; the students have debates about female roles and gender equality; they prepare presentations, posters or videos about the topic: the team who is going to be the next hosting country prepares a basic communication guide for the visitors; students have contact with their mates in other countries via eTwinning.
- 11:45: Play performance settings:
- Choosing texts: For the meeting in Finland each partner will prepare an excerpt or two, in English, of no more than ten minutes. The Spanish team will work on a common thread for the sketches. For future meetings each partner will suggest one or two different texts or female roles and the coordinators will assign them to the rest of the teams.
- Performances: Decorations, lighting and `atrezzo´ will be the responsibility of the host partner. It should be very simple. Music, clothing and make up will be provided by every partner.
Friday 9th
- 09:15: Communication & Diffusion Tasks: web site / e-Twinning / logo
- Web site: The partners suggest creating a specific web site for the project following a model presented by the Italian team who will be also in charge of building it.
- Logo: Agreement on a call for a competition to design a specific logo for the project. The students involved in the project will be encouraged to present their proposals and vote on them. The Finnish team will provide the platform to vote. It should be ready by February 22nd.
- eTwinning: the platform will be used for the students to contact each others previously to the meetings. The first contact is set to be held in January. The day and time will be scheduled previously.
- 10:15: Tasks until next meeting:
- Make commissions; inform students and families; select participants; choose texts; translate texts; prepare the show; build web site; prepare the logo competition; prepare assessment questionnaires.
- 11:45: Next meeting preparation: Finland March 2019
- Dates: March 3rd to 9th
- Date for the public performance: Friday 8th
- Number of students and teachers: 7 students for each country and 2 or 3 accompanying teachers.
- Lodging: students will be hosted by the local students. Teachers will be housed in a hotel in Helsinki.
- How to get to the school: students will be accompanied to the school by their hosts. The Finnish team will look for the most convenient way to get to the school for incoming teachers.
- Activities during the meeting: Students interaction; show preparation; students presentations; cultural activities; meeting for the coordination commission.
